In this project I am following a group of people who likes to play Airsoft on Sundays.
The intuitive approach I connect to my personal angle which is about the contradiction between a game and realities, doesn‘t represents the general viewpoint on such events.
I experienced that through this kind of simulation on the ground there is developing an energy, it becomes their own world. In my approach in this project
I am following a line which is floating between perception and the gap between fiction and facts.
War is a force that represents a definition, a kind of narcotic drug. Offering an attraction of the extraordinary, combined with a struggle which is connected through historical aspects in society.
Surpassing the boundaries of the human as well as the limits of the human understanding.
The representations of items and our depictions, which belong to battle grounds starts at Toys“R”Us Nerf Guns, followed by the simulation in video games like ‚Call of Duty‘ and ends with Military Simulations.
Searching for a balance between attraction and normalisation.
